When customers turn to BC Wood Products to meet their wood pallet and other packaging needs, they get a dedicated team working for them.
And we’re dedicated to our employees who deliver results for customers time and time again.
Here’s just one recent example of our customer-first policy.
I got an early morning phone call from a customer who needed more wooden pallets by noon that same day to keep their operation running smoothly. When they asked for help, our employees quickly jumped in. We had the pallets they needed built, quality-checked, and delivered to the customer by 10:30 a.m. that very day.
That kind of customer-first response relies on our motivated workforce. We can’t handle an order like that unless our employees step up for the customer—and they did. They do it all the time.
The men and women who work at BC Wood Products like to roll up their sleeves and work hard. Many of our managers are promoted from within our company because we know we benefit from the knowledge newly-promoted employees have already gained working for us. It also shows our staff how they can grow within our company.
Is it safe making wood pallets?
We also make sure each employee is properly trained on how to prevent injuries here at our Central Virginia facility because we want everyone to stay safe. Our dedication to looking out for worker safety is the reason BC Wood Products was certified as a member of the Federal Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes companies that are models of workplace safety.
What benefits does BC Wood Products offer?
We consider each employee to be an investment, so we offer them 401k plans, paid time off, and overtime. Employees also get health, dental, and vision insurance — the type of coverage that can’t be taken for granted in our industry.
We provide those benefits because we know we’re competing for good workers, and we want them to come here. We’ve found that being a market leader in providing for our workers means we’re getting the right employees who stick with us and our customers.
If you tour our facility, you’d find one of the cleanest operations in our line of work, and that’s a testament to how diligent our employees are. We like to introduce customers to our frontline workers during those tours because that goes a long way in showing how we’re all in this together.
Our employees bring a personal commitment to BC Wood Products and the businesses we serve, and that makes their manager’s job much easier. And it keeps our customers on the road.
Our dedicated team is here to help.
